Sewing Class Information

I am so excited to spread my love of sewing and hope that you and your child will share the same excitement after learning how to sew!   While there is excitement to start fun projects right away we will need to spend some classes on basics to ensure a good reliable foundation for future sewing.    

I will provide fabric and hand sewing needles for some projects, but for big projects  I will be sending home material lists for future big projects.  This will allow you and your child the choice of fabrics so you will love and use the projects.  You will need to provide a sewing machine with universal sewing machine needles for class; however one sewing machine per household is plenty so if you have more than one child in the same class my sewing machine will be available for use.   I will have scissors, rotary cutters, a cutting mat, pins, seam rippers, seam gauges  and a measuring tape for you and your child to use and share during class but you may want to start a sewing tool collection for use at home.  If you have any questions feel free to ask and I can assist you with purchasing the right tools.

The following are the times of my child classes and each lasts one hour:

            Monday 9:30                                
            Monday 4:15                     

            Tuesday 4:15 
            Wednesday 2:15         

            Wednesday 3:30 
            Thursday 3:00 

I am starting a couple of adult classes which will encompass learning the same skills as my child class but we will be able to move faster.  This will allow us for the last half of the semester for you to bring projects that you have started and never have had time to complete or aspiring projects and I will assist you in completing.

The following are the times of my adult classes and each lasts one hour:

            Monday 1:00                     

            Tuesday 7pm 

The cost of each class is $7 and there is a $15 material fee per semester.  I will accept payment in cash of check form the day of each class or $155 for the whole semester which includes the material fee. 

I will hold one class per week for each student and the classes start the week of January 7^th through the week of May 20^th.  There will be no class the week of March 25^th because of spring break.
